On Thursday evening, July 23, 2026, the third edition of the Maulana Festival officially commenced at Maulana Park in Slemani. The opening ceremony was attended by a significant number of prominent local figures and a large crowd of citizens.

Supported by the Kurdsat Media Corporation, the festival is scheduled to run for eight consecutive days. The primary objective of this event is to preserve authentic Kurdish culture, showcase diverse artistic works, and provide a joyful and relaxing environment for citizens to escape the pressures of daily life.

During the opening ceremony, several honorary awards were presented to a group of distinguished personalities and dedicated individuals of Slemani, in recognition of their service and loyalty to the city.

The festival welcomes visitors daily from 6:00 PM until 12:00 midnight, featuring a wide variety of cultural and artistic segments.
