On 12 June 2025, the Coordinator of Slemani UNESCO Creative City met online with Ms. Denise Bax, Secretary of the UNESCO Creative Cities Network (UCCN), to present a proposal emphasizing the role of literature, art, and culture in promoting global peace and shared humanity. The Slemani Office urged that this theme be highlighted at the upcoming UCCN Annual Meeting, to be held in Paris on 23–24 June 2025.
