Voice Notes is an international creative project that gathers phone messages from young refugees and asylum seekers, transforming them into a powerful sound installation. The project explores themes of home, belonging, and displacement, using the intimacy of voice to share stories across borders.
Slemani took part in this initiative through the Space21 Sound Festival , where the installation was presented to local audiences. The Slemani UNESCO City of Literature Office supported the project, helping to host activities and amplify the voices of refugees in the region. Their work highlights Slemani’s commitment to literature, culture, and international collaboration.
