Slemani Participates in Ulyanovsk’s Virtual Bookshelf Project Celebrating 10 Years of UNESCO Creative Cities Network
The Slemani UNESCO Creative City of Literature Office proudly participated in the Virtual Bookshelf project organized by Ulyanovsk UNESCO City of Literature, marking the 10th anniversary of the UNESCO Creative Cities Network.
The international initiative brought together 30 cities from 17 countries, curating a unique collection of 44 literary works selected by participating cities as the most influential books representing their cultures and literary heritage.
Slemani was honored to contribute with the renowned Kurdish classic “Mam û Zîn” by Ehmedê Xanî, a masterpiece of Kurdish literature and a cornerstone of cultural identity in Kurdistan and beyond.
The Virtual Bookshelf project aims to strengthen cultural exchange among creative cities, promote unity among writers and creators, and popularize world literature by highlighting influential works from different nations.
