The History of Slemani’s Music Bands and Singers to be Documented

Slemani, April 5, 2026 – The Civil Development Organization (CDO) has announced a significant project to document the history of music bands in Slemani. The project aims to produce a specialized bibliography detailing the activities of these bands, as well as a record of all song cassettes and CDs produced up until the year 2025.

The project is based on an idea by the artist Niaz Noori and is supervised and financially supported by the Civil Development Organization (CDO). According to a formal agreement, bibliography expert Bwar Nureddin will be responsible for compiling the work.

The draft of the bibliography is scheduled to be completed within the next six months. It will then be shared with academics, artists, and specialists in the field to be reviewed and enriched with their feedback before being professionally printed and published.
