In 1914, Ibrahim Ahmad was born in this house. In 1930, the house was hit by British army bombardment, which destroyed its traditional oven and kitchen. In 1947,  Ibrahim Ahmad married Ms. Galawizh, and from that point on, this home became the stage for dozens of life stories, literature, political thought, and Kurdish nationalism. Some of the ancient memories of this house are reflected in the writings and works of Ibrahim Ahmad, including Yadgar u Hiwa, Galawizh magazine, and the novel Zhani Gal (The Agony of a People). Following the Kurdish uprising in 1991, the house was renovated by the decision of Ms. Hero Ibrahim Ahmad. In 1995, also upon her recommendation and with the assistance of several artists, it was turned into a gallery and named Zamwa Gallery. Zamwa Gallery met the cultural needs of its time. Now, it is stepping into a new phase to showcase the history of culture and new thought to Kurdish society. From this perspective, it has been decided to fully renovate the house and convert it into a museum.
