Sardam Publishing House was established on October 25, 1998, by Decree No. 98 of the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) Council of Ministers. The house was founded by a distinguished committee consisting of Sherko Bekas, Rauf Begard, Hussein Arif, Mohammad Mukri, and Dilshad Abdullah. Since its inception, it has served as a civil cultural center, undertaking a wide range of cultural responsibilities. To date, Sardam has published nearly 2,000 titles across various fields, including novels, short stories, poetry, literary criticism, politics, thought, philosophy, history, geography, cinema, and theater. Furthermore, the institution is extensively involved in translating works from various world languages into Kurdish across all disciplines.
