Today, Dr. Haval Abubaker, the Governor of Slemani, received Mr. Daro Aziz, General Supervisor and Coordinator of the Birmingham Kurdish Film Festival in the United Kingdom, alongside Sardar Khalil, Kamaran Subhan, and Sherko Khanzadi, members of the festival’s Kurdistan Board. Their visit was to express gratitude to the Governor of Slemani for his ongoing support of the festival’s gatherings and editions.

During the meeting, they discussed the second edition of the festival, which is scheduled to take place in May 2027.

The Governor of Slemani reiterated his appreciation and continued support for the festival.
