Yesterday evening, Dr. Haval Abubaker, the Governor of Slemani, received the writers participating in the Virtual Room Program (Inkubator ) at the Governorate. This program was a joint project between the Slemani UNESCO City of Literature and Melbourne, Australia, and was held from August to October 2025.

During the meeting, the importance of the project was discussed. The Governor presented the writers with honors and reiterated his support for them.

Inkubator (Ink Incubator) is a virtual writers’ room established by the Slemani UNESCO City of Literature office in partnership with the Melbourne UNESCO City of Literature, connecting five writers from Slemani with five writers from Melbourne, Australia.

This virtual room takes a journey through the art of character creation. Together, these writers create characters and, through this process, showcase their cities to their counterparts, serving as a source of inspiration for writing new texts and building new relationships.
