Upon the official invitation of the city of Taif, a UNESCO Creative City of Literature, a delegation from the Slemani UNESCO Creative City of Literature Office—led by the Governor of Slemani—was scheduled to participate in the Taif International Festival for Writers and Readers, held from 12 to 15 of this month. The delegation was to join representatives from other UNESCO Creative Cities of Literature, along with the Kashkul group from the American University of Iraq, Slemani (AUIS).
Due to adverse weather conditions, the Slemani Governorate delegation was regrettably unable to attend in person. Nevertheless, Slemani maintained a strong and active presence through the Kashkul group from AUIS. As always, they served as outstanding ambassadors for Slemani and Kurdistan, presenting an exemplary professional representation of the city under the leadership of Mr. Sarwar Taha Solayi.
