Today, Dr. Haval Abubaker, the Governor of Slemani, participated in the opening ceremony of the Hardi Cultural Center. The event was attended by the Consuls of France, Italy, and the Netherlands in the Kurdistan Region, the Director General of Culture and Arts of Slemani, and a distinguished elite from the cultural, artistic, literary, and intellectual communities. The center was established through the efforts and funding of Dr. Choman Hardi and Dr. Aras Fatah, featuring an authentic and dignified architectural design.

In his speech, the Governor of Slemani extended his congratulations, appreciation, and support. He commended the founders for faithfully opening a worthy cultural home to continue the goals and efforts of Kurdish intellectuals, particularly the renowned poet of Kurdistan, Mr. Ahmad Hardi.

Ahmad Hardi is one of the most renowned Kurdish poets and writers, who dedicated most of his life to the field of Kurdish literature and poetry. Born into an intellectual family in Slemani, he possessed extensive knowledge of classical Kurdish, Persian, and Arabic poetry, and he had a significant influence on modern Kurdish poetry. Furthermore, he was a participant in the Kurdish liberation movement. He passed away in 2006, leaving behind a rich literary legacy.
