Today, Dr. Haval Abubaker, the Governor of Slemani, welcomed Mr. Rizgar Rafiq Mahmoud Afandi at the Governorate’s office. Mr. Rzgar is a long-time friend and the son of the late Mr. Rafiq (Photo Rafiq) , During the meeting, they discussed the work, contributions, and valuable photographic archives of both Mr. Mahmoud Afandi and Kak Rafiq, as well as the commendable efforts of their esteemed family, the Zheen Center, and their colleagues.

Mr. Rizgar presented the Governor with a unique panoramic photograph of the 1957 Newroz celebrations in Slemani, which was creatively and artistically captured by Mr. Rafiq.

The Governor of Slemani reaffirmed his gratitude, appreciation, and support for the preservation of this valuable national asset and heritage.
