The Project: The Literary Map of Gdańsk

The residency aims to create a new set of cards inspired by the life and work of the renowned scholar Maria Janion. These will complement the 2025 pilot edition of the Literary Map of Gdańsk.

Who Can Apply?

• Creative Duos: Applications are primarily open to duos consisting of one writer and one visual artist.
• Solo Applicants: Individual artists and writers may apply, though priority is given to duos.
• Origin: Open to artists from Poland and international applicants.

Timeline & Duration

• Stay: 2 to 5 weeks (can be split into two visits).
• Period: Between early April and mid-July 2026.

Benefits for Residents

• Free Accommodation: A shared residency flat in the heart of Gdańsk.
• Stipend: A gross fee of PLN 1,100 per week.
