The Caselberg Trust is proud to announce that entries for our 16th annual International Poetry Competition are now open! We invite poets from Aotearoa New Zealand and across the globe to submit their work.
Prizes:
- First Prize: $600 NZD + a one-week residency at the Caselberg house in Broad Bay, Dunedin.
- Second Prize: $300 NZD.
- Highly Commended: Up to 5 awards (non-monetary).
- Publication: Winning poems will be published in the prestigious journal Landfall Tauraka 252 and on the Caselberg Trust website.
Key Rules:
- Submission Dates: Opens June 1, 2026 — Closes June 30, 2026, at 5:00 PM (NZT).
- Length: Maximum 40 lines per poem.
- Originality: Must be original, unpublished, and not created using AI.
- Judging: Entries are judged “blind” (do not put your name on the poem document).
- Entry Fee: $20 NZD (covers up to two poems).
- Language: English/translated into english.
