The General Directorate of Culture and Arts in Slemani is affiliated with the Ministry of Culture and Youth of the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG). In addition to its main headquarters, it comprises numerous offices and departments that serve as the official representatives for cultural, artistic, and intellectual affairs within Slemani.

Beyond the city center, the directorate maintains offices and branches throughout the districts of the Slemani province. Furthermore, the Directorate of Culture and Arts in Kirkuk is also affiliated with this General Directorate.

The specialized departments include Theater, Cinema, Fine Arts, Music, Children’s Culture, Folk Centers, Heritage and Folk Troupes, Scientific Monitoring, Projects, Literary Activities, the Carpet Factory, and the Cultural Capital office, amongothers.
