Nottingham UNESCO City of Literature has officially opened submissions for the second issue of the New Nottingham Journal (NNJ). Following the massive success of its sold-out debut, this print literary journal is once again looking for global voices to feature in its upcoming 2026 edition.

The NNJ is a platform for high-quality literature and art, specifically seeking:

  • Short Fiction & Creative Non-Fiction
  • Slow Journalism
  • Poetry
  • Black-and-White Art

Submission Guidelines:

  • Poetry: Writers may submit up to four poems. Each poem must be a maximum of 2,000 characters (including spaces).
  • Prose: Short stories, essays, and journalism pieces must be under 4,000 words.

• • Eligibility: Open to writers and creatives of all backgrounds and locations worldwide.
