Participation of Slemani UNESCO city of literature in the ‘Page against Machine’ project, along with fellow member cities of the UNESCO Creative Cities Network of Literature. On this day, we all collectively emphasize the importance of the written word within pages in an era of expansion and proliferation of screens and digital devices.
Our voices now travel farther, faster, and freer than ever through digital platforms, yet within their brightness there is a quiet erosion of depth and lived presence. In this widening flow, the slow harmony of local languages risks fading unless carefully preserved, and continually renewed through written pages.
